A Time to Love

February, " a time to Love "

Love endures all things, believes all things, hopes all things 1 Cor. 3:7.  Is this instructive? Yes. Its agape.

February has been a memorable and love filled month.   Spent quality time with family. Connected with relatives and friends. Posted my first video on social media (15 comments).  Started blogging (56 views ). Bought a new book.  Girls night out.

My son who flew the coop visited and we enjoyed a short vacation bonding and rejuvenating.  The four hour road trip to Negril, Westmoreland was enticing.  We stopped several times for refreshments and reached our villa in the afternoon.  Watched the sunset; enjoyed roadside food and dining, sipped pina colada and enjoyed the beach.   On our return to Kingston, Sunday afternoon, we visited relatives in Westmoreland.    Sister Malvie was surprised.  She cried, hugged, kissed and wished us well.  Sister Muriel paused her Sunday dinner and shared stories and jokes about the past. She was too happy to eat.  Brother Wilfred scolded us for coming when the barn was empty.  He gave us all he had (eggs and a bunch of plantains).  The four hour journey back to Kingston was quick.   The love we experienced sustained us and we arrived home in a jiffy (so it seemed).

Next day we visited my parents.  Pops celebrated his 77th birthday on the 2nd so we planned a post birthday visit.  More love - hugs, family album, childhood pics, throwbacks posting on social media...  priceless.

Back at work after my short vacation. I bought a new book. Tangled Web written by a coworker Cecelia.  This book demonstrates the unconditional love Cecelia share with her family and the endurance and hope demonstrated in the 'tangled web'. 

Today I hung out with friends of like minds. We had a blast! Chani was leaving Jamaica and a group of us shared girls time.

Love:
  1. endures - This explanation gleaned from the internet seems appropriate."have confidence in the truth or existence or reliability of something, although without absolute truth"  
  2. believes - without doubt, all things with good motives
  3. hopes - trusts that all things will turn out well

Capture each moment. Share the love. Cherish the memories.

    Spending time with family and friends is priceless. Love is truly the center of it all, and that verse is truly instructive on what love entails. Love is patient, kind, unconditional, endures all and keeps no score.

Hope for the greater good

Loss, debt, hurt, pain, disappointment such is the cry of many … will we ever find hope? Disappointment crept into my soul when I reviewed the objectives that I had set for the 2016.    It’s March and thing were at a standstill.   Even though I had planned for a balanced budget by March the reality was far from the perceived objective.   Frustrated, I went back to the drawing board.   It’s time to Pray.  Will it work this time?   Is God really listening?   Is he really there?   When will I get it right?   What have I done wrong?   These were the questions that prevailed in my mind.
